Hi, we’re Julian and Kirsty, the husband-and-wife team behind Sizzling Thyme Events!
If there is one thing you should know about us, it is that we truly love feeding people. Not in a formal, here’s-your-plate sort of way. More like the feeling of a family gathering where the kitchen is lively, the food is bold, and everyone feels instantly welcome.
Julian brings the Caribbean soul. His roots shape the way he cooks, seasons and shares food. Slow-cooked meats, rich marinades, vibrant colour and big flavour. It is the kind of cooking that tells its own story before you even take a bite.
Kirsty brings the calm, the organisation and the all-important finishing touches. She makes sure everything runs smoothly and that every event feels personal, thoughtful and stress free. Together, we like to think we balance each other perfectly. Well, most of the time!

What began as a simple love for great food has grown into a family-run business that caters for weddings, parties, funerals, birthdays, corporate events and everything in between. So, when we say family-run, we really mean it! Julian’s mum, his brother and our seven children all play their part. Our home is always filled with food, music, laughter and the recipes that have been passed down through our family with pride.
We make every dish from scratch using fresh local ingredients from trusted suppliers, and we tailor every menu to the event. No standard packages, no off-the-shelf menus. Just real food, cooked with care and genuine warmth, designed to give your guests an experience they’ll remember.
We guarantee that whether we’re slow cooking our Caribbean delights, firing up a British/American style barbecue, preparing elegant canapés, setting up a colourful grazing table or creating a full wedding feast, we put our heart and soul into it. That commitment is why our clients return again and again and why we hold consistent five-star reviews across the board.
